Biography

Ron is motivated to serve detransitioners who have suffered harm and need someone to fight for them. His service-oriented career began when he joined the military at age 17. During his time in the military, Ron began to realize that his natural abilities to think creatively and strategically could be employed to better serve others through the practice of law.

Ron’s legal career has focused on litigation, and prior to co-founding Campbell Miller Payne, PLLC, he practiced with some of the world’s most elite law firms. His experience includes cases involving product liability issues, commercial matters, and financial institution litigation. Ron is knowledgeable in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, trial, and appeals.

Ron is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Fifth Circuits. He graduated second in his class with a Juris Doctor from the Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as Editor and then Executive of the Business and Bankruptcy Law Journal and competed on five national advocacy teams. He also holds a Master of Laws in Litigation Management from Baylor University School of Law.

Prior to law school, Ron served in the U.S. Army for eleven years, beginning his career as an Airborne qualified Infantryman and ending his career serving as an Adjunct Professor of Military Science at Texas Tech University.

When he’s not at work, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and four young kids. Ron and his family love taking vacations in their motorhome to national parks around the country. When not on vacation, Ron enjoys coaching his kids’ various sports teams as much as his schedule will allow.
