Biography

Daniel is determined in his representation of detransitioners seeking justice for healthcare-related injuries. He is energized by the opportunity to represent his clients and draws on his legal training and the qualities that helped him excel as a professional athlete to help clients navigate the paths of justice.

With Campbell Miller Payne, PLLC from the outset, Daniel helped launch the firm in response to a call to assert and defend the rights of individuals harmed through "gender-affirming care." He previously practiced corporate finance law with a global firm. He primarily assisted his clients in the negotiation and execution of domestic and cross-border syndicated credit facilities, but also has experience helping clients navigate the bankruptcy process.

Daniel is admitted to practice in Texas. He received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he served on the SMU Law Review as Articles Editor and Staff Editor. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baylor University, where he played varsity football and served as Team Captain. He is a Baylor University Sports Hall of Fame Inductee.

Prior to law school, Daniel played in the National Football League with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A member of Head Coach Mike Tomlin’s inaugural draft class, he holds the distinction of Super Bowl XLIII Champion.

When Daniel is not in the office, he loves spending time with his wife and their four children. Daniel loves to compete and finds deep satisfaction in pushing his physical limits, whether by running, hiking, cycling, or any other opportunity to be active, including the occasional office table tennis match.
